I started up Paw-ferred Pet Sitters in October of 1998 as a result of my company's downsizing.
After over 20 years in the Mental Health services field as a Clinical Social Work Manager, I needed
a career change.. I always loved animals and had experience caring for my own pets so I decided
to go into the pet care industry.
I researched the pet sitting industry and obtained consultation
from SCORE, joined Pet Sitters International,purchased liability insurance and finally became
certified in Pet First Aide and CPR.
The rest is history.
Our Mission is to provide quality, affordable pet care in the comfort of your home. In doing so it is our goal to make it less stressful when you have to
leave your pet at home.
